Markqo was built by teachers who know the feeling: the school day ends, but the marking does not. We are building a clearer, faster way to move from student work to completed assessment—without lowering standards or reducing teaching to a prompt.

Generic AI can produce an answer, but teachers still have to assemble the context, organise the work, track students and turn the response into a reliable assessment process.
AI-supported assessment is being introduced through a controlled staged rollout.

Built by teachers
Markqo began with a teacher asking why such important work still required so much repetitive organisation, re-entry and personal time. The product is being built from that lived experience—not from an outsider’s assumption about what teachers need.
The aim is not to automate teaching. It is to remove the avoidable work surrounding assessment so teachers can give their judgement, attention and time to the parts that genuinely require them.
