Yes. Markqo began with a teacher confronting the same problem many educators face: the school day ends, but the marking continues. The product is being built around real teaching and assessment workflows rather than assumptions made from outside education.
You create an assessment, add student work and provide the relevant assessment rules. Markqo keeps the work organised and guides you through reviewing each student before the assessment is completed. AI-supported recommendations are being introduced through a controlled staged rollout.
No. Markqo is designed to support professional judgement, not remove teachers from the assessment process. Teachers remain actively involved in reviewing evidence, checking work against the assessment rules, refining feedback and making the final decision. Markqo handles more of the repetitive organisation and provides structure around the review, so teachers can spend more time on the skilled thinking that keeps their judgement sharp.
Yes. Markqo is designed to work with uploaded rubrics, pasted criteria, manually entered assessment points and reusable saved frameworks.

When AI-supported recommendations are enabled for an account, they are designed to remain editable. Teachers can review the evidence, change or reject a recommendation, refine feedback and decide what forms part of the completed assessment.
There is no honest universal accuracy percentage for every subject, framework and piece of student work. Assessment quality depends on the work provided, the clarity of the assessment rules and the evidence available. Markqo is being designed to show the reasoning and supporting evidence behind recommendations so teachers can inspect the result rather than being asked to trust an unexplained answer.
One Assessment Credit covers a standard submission of up to 5,000 words or 15 pages, whichever threshold is reached first.
Longer submissions use additional credits proportionally. Up to 5,000 words or 15 pages uses one credit. Up to 10,000 words or 30 pages uses two credits. Up to 15,000 words or 45 pages uses three credits. Markqo uses whichever measurement—words or pages—requires the larger number of credits.
Recurring credits belong to the paid subscription period and expire when that period ends. Credits purchased separately through a top-up persist across renewals and plan changes until they are used.
Yes. Individual subscribers can purchase credit top-ups without changing their main subscription plan.
Yes. Individual subscribers can manage their subscription through Billing. Upgrades may apply immediately, while scheduled downgrades normally take effect at the appropriate renewal. The timing and financial effect are shown before a change is confirmed.
Markqo will not continue consuming credits beyond the available balance. You can purchase a top-up or move to a plan with a larger allowance.
Yes. Markqo offers custom plans for schools, colleges, trusts and other education organisations. Plans can be designed around teacher seats, expected marking volume, onboarding and the organisation’s requirements.
No. Teachers can upload and organise student work without requiring every student to create and manage a Markqo account.
Managed organisations are designed to support approved school-domain access, defined teacher-seat allocations and role-aware account permissions. School pricing and rollout are handled through a tailored commercial agreement.
Student work is held in private, access-controlled storage. Access is restricted through authenticated accounts, organisation membership and database security policies.
Uploaded work is intended to remain accessible only to authorised users within the relevant Markqo organisation and to the services required to provide the requested functionality.
